“Capital Link CSR in Greece” will organize for the 5th consecutive year the Annual Corporate Social Responsibility Conference «Entrepreneurship-Innovation-Society», on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Hilton Athens Hotel.

Capitalizing on our 20-year track record with the organization of uniquely successful investment conferences, Capital Link has pioneered a series of CSR-focused forums in London, Athens and New York. This Forum, as all Capital Link’s forums, combine unique informational and networking opportunities.

The topic of the conference this year is «Entrepreneurship-Innovation-Society» and aims to showcase how the Greek Economy can be reinforced by supporting Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The event aims to provide a practical guide to entrepreneurs on where and how they can get support for their business ventures.

     AGENDA
The Forum has two sides – entrepreneurial and social.

From the Business side, the forum aims to present a range of programs and initiatives that are offered by companies and organizations in Greece and abroad which aim to support and fund new and small & medium-sized enterprises. There are currently many existing programs from Government, private, profit and non-profit organizations, available to young entrepreneurs with innovative proposals, as well as to SMEs with process of growing both in Greece and abroad.

     PARTICIPATION OF 100 NGOs PRESENTING THEIR PROGRAMS AND OBJECTIVES
From the social side, this Forum will offer again the opportunity to approximately 100 NGOs from all over Greece, to showcase and communicate their programs, needs and objectives.
It is especially important that through the internationalized profile of Capital Link’s forums, they will be promoted not only to Greece but also to the Greek diaspora.

     GREEK COMPANIES SUPPORTING GREEK ENTREPRENEURSHIP & INNOVATION
During this new section, executives from Greek Companies will present and discuss their views and options regarding Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Greece today.



     MENTORING THE NEXT GENERATION – PROVIDING ADVICE TO YOUNG ENTREPREUNERS
Taking in consideration the amazing achievements and expertise of John P. Calamos, John Koudounis, Dennis Mehiel and C. Dean Μetropoulos the thirst for knowledge and advice from the young Greek entrepreneurs, there will be a panel discussion on the topic of “ Mentoring the Next Generation”.

This new section will start with a five minutes presentation from each of the Greek American Leaders describing their business steps until the success, the difficulties they faced and how they handled them. After that, there will be a 30 minutes Q&A section during which they will reply to questions, coming from executives of startups and young entrepreneurs chosen by us to ensure the relevance and quality of the questions and topics addressed.

“PUTTING GREECE BACK ON THE GLOBAL INVESTMENT AGENDA”


A high point of the event will be a Roundtable Discussion among Greek American and Greek Business Leaders and the Greek Government on the topic of “Putting Greece Back on the Global Investor Agenda”.

The panel, moderated by a media personality, will discuss what needs to be done to restore Greece’s credibility and standing within the global investment community so that Greece can attract investments and put its economy back on a growth trajectory.

The Greek American Business Leaders who will participate in the Forum include John Calamos, John Koudounis, Dennis Mehiel, C. Dean Metropoulos and Stelios Zavvos. The Forum will also feature senior executives of Greek companies, market experts and investors from the USA who will visit Greece.





     HANDBOOK
Within the Forum’s framework, we issue a special Handbook with articles of market players, speakers at the Forum and other personalities which address the latest developments in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility in Greece and abroad.

     Mr. GEORGE LOGOTHETIS Q&A SESSION
CONTRIBUTING TO THE BUILDING OF THE WORLD – INVESTING IN YOUTH, EDUCATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Mr. George Logothetis, Chairman and CEO of the Libra Group will host a question and answer session on the topic of investing in youth, education and entrepreneurship with reference to the Libra Group’s global CSR initiatives, many of which have a focus on Greece and the Greek diaspora including the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award and the Libra Internship Program.

     HONORING Mr. C. DEAN METROPOULOS
This year’s Capital Link CSR Leadership Award will be presented to Mr. C. Dean Metropoulos, a Greek American businessman of global statute. Mr. Yorgos Kaminis, Mayor of Athens of Greece will make brief remarks and he will then present Mr. C. Dean Metropoulos with the «2015 Capital Link CSR Leadership Award». Mr. Metropoulos, Chairman of Metropoulos & Company, is a highly recognized and respected private equity investor. During his 28-year investment career, he has consistently achieved top tier returns across 82 acquisitions. He is highly sought after as a partner and co-investor by other international private equity firms, sovereign funds and global banks. His firm has expanded its activities to include the U.S., Europe, Canada and Mexico.

Metropoulos & Company which includes Dean’s sons, Evan and Daren, is recognized and differentiated from other private equity firms by their unique “operational” reputation in building, restructuring and repositioning businesses with their well-known talents for creative innovation and marketing, as well as financial and operational skills. The acquired companies have often acted as platforms for further synergistic acquisitions and were subsequently taken public or sold to major strategic corporations.
