Founded in 1995, Capital Link is a New York-based investor relations, financial communications, and advisory firm with a strategic focus on the maritime, commodities, and energy sectors, as well as MLPs, Closed-End Funds, and ETFs.

Furthermore, Capital Link organizes a series of forums and webinars focused on the maritime sector across 11 countries in the United States, Europe, and Asia, in key industry centers such as New York, London, Oslo, Hamburg, Athens, Limassol, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Dubai. These events attract leading figures from the financial, investment, and shipping communities, offering a unique combination of informative content, outreach, and networking opportunities. In particular, Capital Link organizes 18 conferences annually, 14 of which are dedicated to the maritime sector. The firm is also a member of the Baltic Exchange.

The company is known for its extensive network of high-level contacts, built through the quality of its services and its professionalism. Leading Greek and multinational companies from across various sectors, along with internationally renowned figures, regularly participate in its forums. Based in New York City, Capital Link also maintains a presence in London, Athens, and Oslo.



History

In January 2011, Capital Link expanded its activities into the field of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability, establishing an integrated communications and promotion platform dedicated to these areas.

Objectives
  • to inform and contribute to raising awareness about the benefits of Sustainability and Social Responsibility and το the wider dissemination of its practices:
    • both in general for Greek companies through the Capital Link  Sustainability Hub, via which
      • the actions of socially responsible companies are promoted
      • a channel of communication is provided to Associations, Foundations and NGOs to promote their work
      • Society and representing bodies’ needs are presented and partnerships between them are promoted
      • the access of the business world to NGOs and Non-Profit Organizations is facilitated with full transparency
    • as well as for the shipping sector with the "Annual Operational Excellence in Shipping Forum"

ANNUAL CAPITAL LINK SUSTAINABILITY FORUM

Description
The Annual Capital Link Sustainability Forum, keeps up with the developments in all sectors and in all countries, with topics covering the most current trends, gives every year the floor to today's private and public sector leaders and focuses on their efforts in implementing sustainability strategies in critical sectors of the Greek economy, acting as a platform for dialogue to achieve the common goal of Sustainability, Investment and Growth through responsible investment and business practices.
Objective

The Annual Capital Link Sustainability Forum aims to:

  • Highlight the challenges, while identifying realistic opportunities for building an economy and society that operate in harmony with the environment.
  • Contribute to fostering dialogue on the genuine possibilities and limitations of sustainable development, with the active participation of all stakeholders.
  • Help raise awareness that sustainability is not guaranteed, but is continually challenged and requires collective effort, innovation, and consistency.

The Annual Capital Link Sustainability Forum has been held annually for fifteen (15) consecutive years, demonstrating Capital Link’s consistency and ongoing commitment to fostering effective dialogue between companies, citizens, and stakeholders in the field of sustainability.



ANNUAL CAPITAL LINK OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE IN SHIPPING – SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGES IN SHIPPING

The Maritime Forum: Annual Operational Excellence in Shipping Forum on Sustainability Challenges in Shipping serves as an interactive communication platform on issues regarding sustainability in Shipping. Bringing together Shipping Companies, Shippers, Governmental and Non-Governmental Associations, Shipowners, Shipping Inspectors, P&I Clubs, Registries, Technology and Service Providers as well as the financial and investment community, the Forum addresses the environmental challenges in all major areas of the industry such as Fleet Management, Technological Innovation, Crew Training and Management, Energy Efficiency and Environment, Maritime Transport, and Conservation and Safety.




The "Capital Link Sustainability Leadership Award" is annually presented to one or more personality/company/organization for their contribution to society and for the elevation of Greece and the Greek culture globally.

The newsletter promotes Sustainable Development and CSR news and is distributed bi-weekly to a wide audience of executives and market participants in the fields of Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility in Cyprus and Greece. It is also sent to Capital Link’s proprietary and continuously updated contact database, which includes CSR organizations, communication consultants, senior executives from the political and financial press, journalists, heads of CSR, communication and PR departments, as well as marketing managers from companies actively engaged in Sustainability and CSR initiatives.


The Digital Handbook is a concise guide developed as part of the Annual Capital Link Sustainability Forum. It presents current actions and strategies on sustainability topics, aiming to inform readers while maintaining its value and relevance beyond the Forum itself. The included articles cover key aspects of sustainable development and highlight the latest developments in Sustainability, both in Greece and internationally, as well as initiatives, opportunities, and programs that support entrepreneurship and growth.
The Handbook serves as a tool for informing, educating, evaluating, and supporting sustainable development at multiple levels, helping to promote a sustainable future. Its enriched content includes:

  • Articles by government representatives and institutions
  • Contributions from sponsors
  • Articles from supporting organizations
  • Features from companies with a strong commitment to sustainable development
  • Contributions from non-governmental organizations

The Digital Handbook is posted on the Annual Capital Link Sustainability Forum website and distributed electronically to Capital Link's broad Greek and American Diaspora contact base.



Through Capital Link's international forums, business executives and the general public have the opportunity to learn about the work of various associations from across Greece, opening a direct channel of communication between the parties. This interaction helps to support and highlight the valuable work these associations perform. At the same time, the forums provide associations with the opportunity to establish new collaborations and partnerships.
